Q: Sharing an apple ID has completely screwed up facetime / text messages
Because we are not tech savvy, our family shares an Apple ID.
Yesterday my husband 'activated' (?) his facetime using the family apple ID.
Since that time we have had problems communicating. First I noticed that I was receiving all his text messages (including any I sent.) Then we worked out that he was receiving them too - but any I sent him show up as coming from him. Those messages I sent him (and his replies) have also been sent to my daughter's ipad (lucky nothing we didn't want her to see) but all look as though they have come from him.
However whenever I message anyone else it comes up as from me
My daughter tried to facetime my husband tonight and it just dialled my phone instead.
Any ideas what I can do to try and stop this happening short of taking all three devices to an apple store? The tricky bit is that he is away so I can't just pick up his phone and try and sort it out myself (I am marginally better with devices than he is).
Thanks
