    Was iCloud backup on?

If so, you can restore from the latest backup and get all your pictures back.

you can restore from the latest backup and get all your pictures back.

Photos are not part of an iCloud or iTunes backup, so that idea won't work.

Recovering them depends on where they were, if in the iCloud pictures library look on www.iCloud.cm/#pictures, if not there then more info is needed.

Were they backed up somewhere before you did that? If so, restore the backup. If not, no. They're gone.

From About backups in iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support:

iCloud backups include nearly all data and settings stored on your device. iCloud backups don't include:

    • Data that's already stored in the cloud, like contacts, calendars, notes, My Photo Stream, and iCloud Photo Library
    • Data stored in other cloud services, like Gmail and Exchange mail
    • Apple Pay information and settings
    • Touch ID settings
    • Content you didn't get directly from iTunes, App, or iBooks Stores, like imported MP3s, videos, or CDs

Photos are not on that list.

No, they were back up anywhere, that's the problem. Not on iTunes or iCloud. I hoped that they maybe could be recovered by any site or maybe by apple, but obviously no..

    (Sorry I'm french !)

Look at item 1 on your list, I will excerpt and bold the relevant part:

    iCloud backups don't include:

    • Data that's already stored in the cloud, like contacts, calendars, notes, My Photo Stream, and iCloud Photo Library

Perhaps you might want to read that bit slowly.

Csound1, My Photo Stream is not stored on the device. And without iCloud Photo Library turned on, the camera roll is backed up (I have backed up and restored camera roll photos before). I never said iCloud Photo Library photos were included in the backup.

But with the OP's most recently reply:

(THEY WEREN'T BACKED UP IN ICLOUD OR ITUNES)

    This whole conversation is useless.

I never mentioned backup, and you are confused about what a backup is. If there is only one copy of your Contacts and Pictures you have no backup, even if that copy is in iCloud you still have NO backup. A backup (however made) is a secondary copy that can be utilized in an emergency. It is not automatic, you have to take the time to protect your stuff no-one will do it for you. When you connect a phone to iTunes a backup (an additional copy) is made of some items, Contacts and Pictures are not among them. So, if you never took the time to actually backup your stuff you no longer have your stuff.

But, you said you connected to iTunes, presumably to sync (if not tell me what you did, or what you think you did), it is possible that if everything was stored locally (on the phone) you may recover them but as yet you have given no clue as to where your Contacts and Pictures were stored.

They were in the phone. For the pictures they were in the app Retrica but now they're gone. Can I get them back or not ? Because I don't have any "secondary copy" of it, I just want to know if I can get them back.

I'm almost positive I have read that somewhere. But even if My Photo Stream photos are stored on the device, that does not change the fact the Camera Roll photos are backed up.

As far as your reply, "iOS7" I'm assuming you mean that My Photo Stream photos were not stored on the device in iOS 7?

Have you looked at your iTunes backup, yes or no.
