Uploading RAW photos to OS X Yosemite Photo

When I look at Apple Support List of Digital Cameras that are RAW compatibility, I see quite a few Pentax models list, all except the Pentax K-50. Has anyone been able to download RAW photos to Apples Photo app. from a Pentax K-50. I am thinking about buy a Mobi SD Pro card for my K-50 and would like to know if it is possible to use RAW photos instead of jpeg formatting.

Mac mini (Late 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), Pentax K-50

The Pentax K-50 is not yet supported by Yosemite: Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X Yosemite - Apple Support

So until it is you can: 1 - just shoot jpeg; 2 - or download the files to a folder on the Desktop via a card reader and covert the RAW file to dmg file with Adobe's Raw Converter which is supported by Photos. You'll have to check to see if the Raw Coinverter will convert the K-50 files.

Just make sure that whatever card you buy there's a card reader available that can read it.
