Nov 11, 2015 8:07 AM in response to IluvmyiPADby Uwe Grunewald,To keep the discussion alive and to "entertain" everyone ab bit:
In all of my pain, I decided to change my mailbox plan towards a so called business mailbox, hosted on OpenXChange for 4,95€ per month, hoping to use OpenXChange to become a substitute of iCloud. Actually OpenXChange can handle Calendar, Contact and Tasksync with Outlook and is being widely used at Email-Providers, at least in Germany.
Guess what, that Outlook Connector is not working with Outlook 2016:-( A subsequent inquiry to my Provider 1&1 (who nowadays offer fast and excellent support) revealed, that "OpenXchange is hard working on Outlook 2016 compatibility, but Outlook 2016 being pretty new"...
So also Microsoft may/must have changed something deeper, but one should expect from Apple that 6 month should be enough to investigate and deliver a solution.
I am now thinking of upgrading my Email even further to hosted MS Exchange. This should be compatible to Outlook by all means, shouldn't it? ;-)

Nov 11, 2015 8:22 AM in response to Uwe Grunewaldby supersparksteve,Well I did exactly that and ditched iCloud and moved to Exchange Online Plan 1.
Everything syncs fine now in Outlook across all devices.
So now I'm using the Exchange Calendar, Contacts, Tasks across all devices and the email addresses from all.

Nov 11, 2015 1:56 PM in response to richard0383by dkoplien,Going back to Office 365 2013 corrected all problems. MS support was helpful in doing this.

Nov 11, 2015 3:38 PM in response to richard0383by Longbeach_CH,Sorry for my English. Since August, this topic has started. We are in November. There is no solution? Please Apple ...

Nov 11, 2015 5:13 PM in response to Longbeach_CHby mhoffman2001,I'm having this problem too; ever since the iCoud 5.0 update was pushed out.
The ironic thing for me is, I could care less about Outlook's ability to sync with iCloud. I am using it to mirror my photos to a folder on my drive, and that's the only service I have checked in iCloud control panel.
There's no WAY I would consider dropping back to Office 2013 or earlier just to allow iCloud 5.0 to install, that is lunacy. I'll uninstall iCloud completely before I do that. I hope a solution comes along soon.

Nov 12, 2015 9:18 AM in response to mhoffman2001by paulfromindio,Bump. Totally ridiculous. We converted to iPhone's because of the ability to usb sync (clients FORBID any cloud stuff of their info) and now we have only phones. Fastest way I can see to lose customers FAST.
And zero follow up from Apple too. They asked for txt files of logs and the like and no feedback. Very poor form IMHO.

Nov 12, 2015 9:59 AM in response to paulfromindioby Maryvalcros,La seule solution est de retourner à Office 2013. Apple est vraiment lamentable sur ce coup. The only solution is to go back to Office 2013. Apple is really lamentable on this one.

Nov 12, 2015 1:12 PM in response to Maryvalcrosby JPinMaine,I finally had enough and did just that - uninstalled Office 2016, installed Office 2013. Uninstalled and reinstalled iCloud as well, and now all works as it should. Since Office 2013 works with iCloud 5 and Office 2016 does not, is this really an Apple issue? Or have both companies made changes with each deserving an equal amount of our ire?

Nov 12, 2015 1:25 PM in response to JPinMaineby RCW600,Since iCloud works with Outlook 2013 then presumably Microsoft must have changed something in Outlook 2016, perhaps putting the 'blame' with them. On the other hand, a few of us have got iCloud v4 to work with Outlook 2016/Windows 10, at least in certain configurations, suggesting that whatever tweak is required to iCloud must be pretty minor. Either way, it cannot require much effort to fix this issue, making it all the more frustrating that it is taking so long, and fuelling suspicion that there is another agenda here, i.e. there is no intention to fix it, for whatever reason (presumably commercial).

Nov 12, 2015 1:28 PM in response to JPinMaineby ArmyDad9,I have Office 2016 installed except for Outlook and I have Outlook 2013 installed along with iCloud Control Panel 5 and everything is working just fine. I'm waiting patiently for an upgrade to iCloud Control Panel to be able to use the features of Outlook 2016.

Nov 12, 2015 1:36 PM in response to RCW600by Ourdoc,The main thing is Microsoft acknowledged the problem by putting Office 2013 back up. Apple on the other hand has refused to even acknowledge it. Also Office 2016 came out as planned with a long open public beta before Apple came out with iCloud 5 with no public beta. At that point, it was up to Apple to make sure they worked together. MS gave them a long time with the program to do this, while MS had no software from Apples iCloud 5 to develope around.

Nov 12, 2015 1:48 PM in response to Ourdocby paulfromindio,[
This may anger a lot of people but MS has about 93% market share and that essentially makes Apple subordinate to MS. If you want to maintain market share you have to play in that market and with this failure on Apple's part they are essentially asking people to look elsewhere. And that not a good position if you want to charge $600.

Nov 12, 2015 2:53 PM in response to paulfromindioby Ourdoc,Well I have a fix coming tha Apple won't like. It's called buying the Surface Pro 4 instead of tha iPad Pro I WAS going to buy. So far Apple, with just me, this problem has cost you over $1,000.00, and that is just one person. My iPhone will be the next one "fixed" in this manner. You had your chance Apple and blew it!

Nov 12, 2015 5:36 PM in response to richard0383by Spydah,It's obvious from the number of responses that Apple are upsetting a lot of people with their apparent inaction. Does anyone from Apple monitor this post? Hello! Are you awake? It would be good if an Apple spokesperson at least acknowledged the problem and reassured us that they are actively working to fix it. Right now, the great and wonderful Apple, which previously could do no wrong, is losing a lot of support.
