Podcast Auto Delete 12.2

Hi,

I have been using the podcast feature in iTunes for a while. Since the last two updates I have been having issues with podcast auto deleting and syncing with my iPod nano.

So I have iTunes set to auto delete played podcast and only keep the last 2 episodes.

Since one of last couple of updates I have noticed many explanation marks in my podcast which was odd.

iTunes seems to be deleting the file in the iTunes folder for the podcast but not really telling iTunes that it's deleted so it still thinks it's there and just can't locate.

The issues are now If I want to re-download I am unable to in iTunes and with my iPod nano even after sync it keeps the old podcast on there so it will keep all old episodes and not really re-sync with iTunes just new episodes and will build up fast.

Any one know how to fix this or just wait for apple to hopefully fix this.
