Q: My Apple Watch isn't connecting to the health app

So on my phone the health app doesn't seem to recognize anything from my watch. And also, the activity app still thinks I haven't set it up on my watch. Help?

    Hi

    • Check that your iPhone has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled:
      • iPhone > Settings > Bluetooth / Wi-Fi.
    • Check that your Apple Watch is connected to your iPhone:
      • Swipe up on the watch face, swipe left/right to the Settings Glance, check whether Connected or Disconnected (disable Airplane Mode if it is active).
    • Check that you have Wrist Detection enabled:
      • Apple Watch app on iPhone > My Watch > General > Wrist Detection.
    • Check that you have set up the Activity app:
    • Keeping them close by each other, try restarting - or, if that doesn't work, force restarting - both devices:
      • Restart Apple Watch: Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; Drag the slider to turn off completely; Afterwards, press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
      • Force restart Apple Watch: press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
      • Force restart iPhone: press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
    • If none of the above has worked, try unpairing and re-pairing your Apple Watch and iPhone:

I had a similar problem a couple of months back that was only resolved by unpairing and pairing the Watch and iPhone. No problems since then.

On your iPhone, in the Apple Watch app:

Go to My Watch (bottom left tab) > Privacy > Motion & Fitness > are both options there already enabled?

What information are you expecting to see (please give a specific example), but are not seeing, in the Health app?

    Understood - was just checking

Given all of the troubleshooting steps that you have already tried, I suggest contacting Apple Support:

And the activity app on my iPhone still says, "The activity app works with Apple watch to keep track of your activity and workout history. To start using the app on your iPhone, first set up the app on your Apple Watch" but I already did??

    You're welcome!

    Something else to check:

    On your iPhone:

    • Check that your own contact card (in the Contacts app) contains your own name, Apple ID email address and phone number.
    • Go to Settings > General > Siri > My Info - check that your own contact is correctly selected here.
    • Go to Settings > iCloud > check that you are logged in to your iPhone with your correct Apple ID email address.
    • Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > scroll to the Contacts section > check that My Info is using your contact card.
    • In your Apple Watch app on your iPhone: My Watch > General > Apple ID > is your Apple ID email address correct?

On your Apple Watch: ask Siri "What is my name?"

Are all of these correct? If not, make any changes and try re-starting both devices.

    Hey guys,

I just bought the apple watch and had trouble with the phone not ringing. I conducted a few experiements and Long story short i found the following to be true:

    1. In the iWatch app - turn off 'Mirror your iPhone'
    2. Set the ring and Haptics to Custom

    3. Then ensure passcode is off, meaning you dont have  passcode on the watch.
End result: your watch will ring to an incoming call.

just make sure you have passcode off.
