What are these?
MacBook Pro (17-inch Late 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), TB drives + other stuff
Can you describe the situation where these appear? Is this reproducible? It looks like a display glitch to me, but I could be wrong, of course.
G'day Luis,
I don't believe it is a display glitch.
I'm exporting 1920 x1080 50p to Apple Devices:
These bars appear at times.
I think it may be something related to some earlier versions where an export would yield an icon if changed or unchanged.
Seems to be more if the export is unchanged from the last one that these bars appear.
Not 100% sure at this time.

Well, Al, I'm stumped. Tried wide variety of settings combinations and couldn't reproduce the "bars". (However, I did learn more about the Background Tasks Indicator than I knew before this AM, so thanks for that!.)
Curious to learn the answer when posted.
Russ
Hello Russ,
Actually I'm stumped as well.
I have been able to produce these bars twice, the second time I grabbed a screen shot as above.
Still a mystery.
I can pretty much rule out my unchanged export theory though.
Al
Still have no idea. ???

Al, Why not post this on FCP.co to see whether anyone there has ever encountered this? Apparently it's pretty rare.

I'll try the other forums I am involved with.
Thanks for that, didn't even occur to me. 🙂

That is definitely a display glitch, there is no function in FCPX to display those bars. Fill out the feedback page, please.

Yup, I reckon that's what it is. Luis suggested that earlier.
I recall that this occurred during or after having a second monitor in use.
Wierd thing is that it occurred twice in a short time.
Using the second monitor today there were no strange bars.
A curiosity of the NLE Mac world.
