Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that when you update or make a change to a calendar or reminder, that updated information is not syncing across your other devices. If you are using your iCloud account for Calendars and Reminders the attached articles below will help you troubleshoot the syncing issue between devices.

Get help using Reminders in iCloud - Apple Support

Aug 24, 2015 6:40 AM in response to joe_7399by debsbarker,Hi. Thanks so much for your reply. I've worked my way through both of those links but it doesn't seem to be sorting it out. My iPad and iPhone were syncing fine for a few hours yesterday evening, but today aren't communicating again. Could it be a problem with iCloud itself rather than with my devices??? (I tried changing something in Contacts as well and that didn't sync either) Thanks

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
Thanks for the information and for completing the steps outlined in the articles even though your issue still continues.
I do not feel like this is an issue with iCloud service, but rather a communication problem between your devices. You can always check the status of all Apple Services, Stores, and iCloud to verify if the issue is with iCloud or your devices by checking the System Status using the following link.

To further troubleshoot your situation, because the information in the articles was unsuccessful in helping you resolve the sync issues, you may want to consider contacting Apple Support directly. If you would like to contact Apple Support, please use the attached link below.

Jun 18, 2016 12:56 AM in response to debsbarkerby NEO79,I Finally solved it!!! Had this problem since i updated my iPad to iOS 7.
Here's how:
On the device that doesn't sync your reminders app,
go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > Make sure Push is on!
and below it, select iCloud > Select schedule to Push
This worked for me, on iPad 2, iOS 9.
