Aug 22, 2015 9:02 AM in response to Rajun2002by Meg St._Clair,It would help if you explain the problem with your battery in words that don't get deleted for being inappropriate. English has the largest vocabulary of any language in the world.

If your battery is only lasting for 2 hours, there is something seriously wrong with it. Arrange to have it serviced, either by making an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store, taking it to an authorized service center if you live in a country without Apple Stores or by sending it do Apple. Use the Contact Us link at the bottom right of every page for information on finding service options.

Aug 22, 2015 9:39 AM in response to Meg St._Clairby Rajun2002,i had a chat with apple and they said the hardware of the battery is ok and everything is working fine and the condition of the battery is normal so I'm really puzzled on this

Aug 22, 2015 9:42 AM in response to Rajun2002by ChrisJ4203,I would say that you have a process that is stuck, or corrupt data in your backup. I suggest that you restore the device as new and test it without putting back any additional content and testing for a period of time. I have a 5s that I use extensively and have no issue with the battery lasting more than 16 hours.

Aug 22, 2015 9:42 AM in response to Rajun2002by Meg St._Clair,I find it difficult to believe that Apple told you 2 hours was normal battery life. They need to run actual diagnostic testing.

Aug 22, 2015 10:16 AM in response to Rajun2002by ChrisJ4203,If you re-read my post, you will see it is with my iPhone 5s. I have never experienced more than 3.5% per hour of battery drainage even under heavy use. I know that Apple told you to restore your backup, but since the problem continued, I would say that you have an issue with your backup. I suggest you try as I said and restore the device as new and no add any content to it and test for a period of time, and I would say 2 hour since that seems to be your threshold, to see about the battery. If after restoring as new and no adding anything back it still has a problem, contact Apple again and mention how you had tested and see what they say.

Aug 22, 2015 10:26 AM in response to Rajun2002by ChrisJ4203,I'm probably a textbook user of everything they tell you to turn off. Wi-Fi is always on, Bluetooth is always on, I have location services on for many things as well. I have two mail accounts, my work Exchange account that is on push and a personal IMAP account that is set to fetch every 30 minutes. I just maintain my device well and charge overnight. I backup every night before I go to bed so if something happens to my device the worse that could happen is losing one days worth of data. I import my photos anytime that I take them. I do not use iCloud for backups, I use iTunes connected directly to my computer. I use Outlook to hold my contacts and calendar.
