Missing movies

we are traveling and before I left I transferred about 5 movies to each of my kids iPad minis so they could watch on the plane.

My son was in the middle of watching a movie when it stopped, when we went to video library it was empty.

I reset the iPad, searched for each movie and nothing. we don't have a computer with us but is there anyway to transfer movies from the working iPad that has movies to his?!
