After reviewing your post, it sounds like you were not able to sync some books to the iOS device because you need to authorize the computer. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.
Make sure all the purchased content came from the same Apple ID that you authorized. If everything is the same you can deauthorize all, then authorize the computer again.
Deauthorize your computer using iTunes - Apple Support
To deauthorize all computers:
Click to open iTunes and sign in to your Account Information, or use the steps below:
- Open iTunes.
- Click Sign In, and then enter your Apple ID and password.

- Click your name and select Account Info from the menu.

- Enter your password again.
On the Account Information screen:
