I understand that you're no longer able to add music to your iPhone via iTunes. This is likely due to your Apple Music or iTunes Match subscription. These services effectively replace the functionality of manually managing music via iTunes and handle the process between your iPhone and iCloud or the iTunes Store, respectively.
If you're a member of Apple Music or have an iTunes Match subscription, you have iCloud Music Library turned on. When you have iCloud Music Library turned on, you can't manually manage music. You can still manage videos using the steps below.
