For syncing problem, what operating systems on your computer and what version?

You need:

• Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:
  • Mac: OS X v10.7.5 or later
  • PC: Windows 7 or later
  • iTunes 12.2 or later¹⁰ (free download from www.apple.com/itunes/download)

I use a 28 character WPA passcode on my iPod Touch 6 (and formerly 4).  Works fine.
