Aug 23, 2015 4:28 AM in response to kshitijfromhydby chroot,I am unclear of the issue based on your description. It seems like not all pictures are transferring from the iOS device to the computer and the Photos app is becoming unresponsive. Does this happen in other user accounts? It's possible that the photos library is corrupt.
If the photos library is corrupt you can try this to fix it. Use the Photos library repair tool - Apple Support

Aug 23, 2015 11:43 AM in response to kshitijfromhydby Old Toad,Are you still using iPhoto or are you using the new Photos app that came with Yosemite?
What fixes have you tried so far? If none try wart chroot recommended.
Have you tired downloading all of the photos from the iPhone to a folder on the Desktop with Image Capture and then importing from there? See if they will import correctly. You can also test them in the folder by opening some with Preview and see if they appear OK.
Report back with the results.

Sep 1, 2015 4:08 AM in response to kshitijfromhydby jjosiah,I saw some other posts about problems with importing photos from cameras to Photos after the update. You might do a search on that. I'm having a different problem. After the 10.10.5 update, photos came up to begin (as if I did not already have the app from 10.10.3) and now it's been processing for like 3-4 days. No end in sight. I force closed it and it came back up just like before to begin / start. Clicked start and again it processed all day yesterday and still doing the same today. The size of my photo file is big but not as big as many others. It's 130.18 gigabytes. In the past, when it was only slightly smaller (with 10.10.3), it transferred photos from iPhoto in no time What the heck is up? I don't get it and I don't see anything on the web to fix it! procc
