Trash doesn't remove data

Hey Apple Community

I have a big problem with the Trash. I deleted (moved datas from the folders to the trash) at all 40GB space. After moving them to the trash I removed them from the trash by "Empty Trash" and I didn't got free space on my Mac. Before deleting the datas i had 20GB free space. Now again 20GB free space.

How can i delete these 40GB from my Mac. Because I can't find them over the Finder.

I hope for a quick and great answer thank you.

Yours,

You may notice a difference in available space statistics between Disk Utility, Finder, and Get Info inspectors. This is expected and can be safely ignored. The Finder displays the available space on the disk without accounting for the local snapshots, because local snapshots will surrender their disk space if needed.
