Q: iTunes won't sync with iPad or iPhone. As soon as I connect either one, iTunes hangs within 2 seconds, indicating it is contacting the iTunes Store. iTunes is up-to-date on all 3 machines. Any idea what could be the problem?

iTunes is running on my iMac, but it won't sync with my iPad or iPhone. It hangs as soon as I connect either one. I'm using the most current version of iTunes on each. Advice on how to get sync working is appreciated.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), iOS on iPad 2 and iPhone 5S is 8.4.1

It sounds like iTunes becomes unresponsive when your iOS device is connected. If this is the case, here is a troubleshooting article that I would recommend going through.
