Mac Mini is running very slow after installing OS X 10.7.5

I just upgraded from OS X 10.6.8 to OS X 10.7.5. I'm using a Mac Mini - 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory. Ever since I upgraded to the new operating system, my computer is running very slow, especially when using the internet. The mouse hangs after clicking it and everything freezes up until it eventually recognizes the request. Sometimes I can't even get out of a page or application without using Force Quit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm also extremely annoyed that I can no longer open Appleworks 6 documents and can't located any year 2003 - 2006 photos that were saved by TimeMachine on an exteral HD (using OS X 10.6.8). I wish I'd never upgraded!!!

Uninstall Symantec. Symantec is a worthless scam on a Mac. All it does is use an inordinate amount of system resources to cause problems on your Mac.

You also have adware installed on you Mac. Download and install http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/52105/malwarebytes-anti-malware

I would also suggest that you stop using uTorrent. It is most likely where you downloaded the adware from in the first place.

Mac Mini is running very slow after installing OS X 10.7.5
