After installing the iPhoto Library Upgrader tool, I ran it and selected the iPhotos Library. However, after entering my password, it asked "Do you want to launch iPhoto?" and I clicked "Launch iPhoto" but nothing happened... what now?
I'm running OS X 10.10.5 and my iPhotos Library is from my old Mac that was running OS X 10.6.8 and iPhotos '08 version 7.1.5 (378).

You can not run iPhoto '08 under yosemite and I do not believe you can update it to version 9.6.1 which is required for iPhoto on Yosemite
Exactly what happens when you launch Photos from the dock?

After running the upgrader tool on your iPhoto 7 library all you need to do is drag that library onto the Photos icon in the dock and let Photos convert it to a Photos library.
Using Photos is your only option at this point as you didn't have a purchased copy of any iPhoto 9 version on your Mac.
The iPhoto Library Upgrader tool didn't work...
