    Greetings dollydellar,

My understanding is that since sending an email with numerous photos attached yesterday you are unable to even launch the Mail application on your iPad, is that correct? As someone who uses my iPad for mobile email all the time I know this would bother me. Let's see if we can get you back on the road to using your iPad's Mail app.

This article has some useful tips on how to troubleshoot an email issue on iOS devices - Get help with Mail on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. I would suggest following the steps in the section titled First steps

    Follow these steps first:

    1. To make sure that you're connected to the Internet, open Safari and go to www.apple.com.
    2. Log in to your email provider's website and make sure that the account is active and that you're using the right password.
    3. Check your email settings.
    4. Restart your iOS device.
    5. Remove the affected email account from your device with these steps:

      1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
      2.
      3. Tap the email account.
      4.
      5. Tap Delete Account.
      6.
      7. Add your account again.

If these steps fail to produce the desired result, you may need to erase the iPad and restore it from a backup. This article explains how - How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

    Be well.

    HI all,

i tried all the helpful notes given to me for this problem, but in the end had to go into an Apple Store, where they wiped my iPad and re set everything from my back up. Apparently this is a glitch with the iPads......

i Wasn't aware that you can call into any store and ask for availability for the same day...useful if you're in shopping. I rang and booked for six days ahead!

evrything is working fine again, phew!
