Aug 23, 2015 11:59 PM in response to Hfritzby UGADog,I do not no what Apple requires or why. I've had screens replaced by a third party and they did not wipe the phone as I recall. It wasn't necessary... but Apple could have a general rule.

Since these are user to user forums, and we don't work for Apple, nobody here would know with any certainty. Contact Apple and ask them.
