Can I connect a Snow Leopard IMAC into a Time machine backup made on a Mavericks IMAC and restore
I have a Backup made with Mavericks and want to restore to Snow Leopard after I wipe and start again.

Do a backup, preferably 2 separate ones on 2 separate drives.
If you do revert, I'd use Setup Assistant to restore your data. This process takes a while, so do it when you won't need the computer for several hours, based on my experience.
Thanks for this reply. I have a good running Snow Leopard now and will now try to take my photos and music off the time machine. Can you tell me more about setup assistant. Where do I find it?

It should have run the 1st time you booted the computer after reverting. You can try this.
