Upgraded bootcamp to Windows 10, now partition can't be found

Hello.

So I upgraded my bootcamp from Windows 7 to Windows 10 today. After the installation it started, low-res but working. But when I booted back to the mac side to get the boot camp drivers for windows it disappeared and will no longer show when holding down ALT during boot up.

The files are there on the second partition in finder on the mac side so things should be dandy, but I can't start the partition. Does anybody know what I should do? I run the latest El capitan public beta so I guess errors like this are to be expected and if Im beyond saving I guess I only have myself to blame, but it would be great if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

Hi, i am having same issue. I duplicated/clone my bootcamp (Windows 10) partition to a new ssd and it is not showing up while booting (pressing alt after restart)

I have tried your provided solution here:

Repairing Boot Camp after creating new partition

All goes fine untill i have to enter 'write' or 'w' (i am entering without quotations)

fdisk:*1> write

fdisk: /dev/disk0: Operation not permitted

Can you help me out plz? My Operation System is macos sierra 10.12

Can you post the output of the following Terminal commands?

diskutil list

diskutil cs list

sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0

sudo fdisk /dev/disk0

The "sudo" commands will prompt for your password, and it will not be echoed back. You may also see a warning about improper use of "sudo" and potential data loss due to "abuse" of the command.

I tried this as I have the exact same issue.,.. all worked except the WRITE command.

To that command, it replied:

*4: 0C 1023 254 63 - 1023 254 63 [1416679424 - 536844288] Win95 FAT32L

Partition id ('0' to disable) [0 - FF]: [C] (? for help) 07

fdisk:*1> flag 4

Partition 4 marked active.

fdisk:*1> write

fdisk: /dev/disk0: Operation not permitted

Is there something else I can try?

Thanks very much for any help.

Hi

Really hope someone will be able to help me.

I am having the exact same issue as OP but when I go to Command Prompt in Windows 10 and type

sudo fdisk -e /dev/disk0

I get a message saying 'sudo' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

What am I doing wrong at this very first stage please?

Many thanks in advance!

That's the thing - I'm stuck in the Windows (now 10) partition.

I can see my iOS partition but upgrading to Windows 10 has removed boot camp (along with removed the drivers for the smart mouse and the apple keyboard) and I can't get back to the iOS partition when I manually reboot and hold

down the option key.

This all happened when my dad was using my Mac and decided to uphrade to Windows 10 when he got a pop-up message without telling me!
