Newbie...deleted a project by mistake...need to get it back!

I am using iMovie 10.0.9 on an iMac with OS X 10.10.4.

I have had several versions of a project so that if necessary I could go back. When I deleted an old one, it also deleted the latest! Also the clips are all wonky, and iMovie is even displaying the panels differently. I have tried replacing the library with one copied from Time Machine. Didn't work.

This is a client project, can anyone help??
