Keynote Text Box Magic Move Lag issue

I am using keynote as a Teleprompter / Fold back screen. So what I would do is to create lines of text as how a teleprompter would be. Then I would animate and use magic move from slide to slide. However, after upgrading to OS X Yosemite with the new keynote, I am having issues that Keynote would either lag or crash. Then, if I were to use the same file on OS X Mavericks, it would work perfectly fine.

Anyone know how I can solve this issue?

Here's the link to a sample file.

Just to clarify. This will be fine on mavericks OSX but not work on Yosemite OSX.

Try resetting Keynote; perform all the steps in the order listed:

  1. Remove Keynote version 6.5, you must use an application removal tool for this procedure to work:
down load this free removal tool from here:
    Appcleaner
  2. Empty the trash
  3. Shut Down the Mac (Apple menu > Shut Down)
  4. Wait 10 seconds, then press the power button
  5. Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold down the Shift key,
release the Shift key when you see the grey Apple screen
start up will take a few minutes longer than usual as the Mac is performing a software repair
  6. Restart the Mac normally, (don’t hold down any keys during startup)
  7. Install Keynote from the Mac App Store
