- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

Aug 24, 2015 9:21 AM in response to Fatcat45by lllaass,★HelpfulYes, the ID you use in Settings>iCloud does not have to be the same as that used i Settings>iCloud. However, redownloading iTunes purchases does require using the same iCloud ID
Download past purchases from iTunes - Apple Support
You can resolve this if the devices have iOS 8 by setting up family sharing
