photos keeps crashing

I have just updated to OS X Yosemite and when I open Photos it keeps closing.

Any ideas how I can solve this?

Have you tried launching the program with the Option (Alt) key depressed? It will give you several options, e.g., New Library... Try if that works.

Further, are you migrating from a previous version of iPhoto, or are you entirely new to photo images on Mac?
