My MacBook Pro won't startup past the apple logo. Once the apple logo disappears I get a blank white screen and the fan begins to get louder.
Also the apple logo screen is kind of pink with white lines through it.
Any suggestions? I really need the data on the laptop.

If you only need the data you can remove the harddrive and connect it through USB on another computer and get your data. If you need the whole machine first try to enter your recovery partition. start your computer and immediately hold cmd+R. Here you can open disk utility and try to repair your disk or try various other troubleshooting methods.
