Q: Use Apple pay UK card if visiting usa?

hi all. I am using Apple pay in the Uk. I am visiting the USA soon and can I use my UK card in the USA? ie. Use UK Apple pay in U.S.?

    There should not be an issue. You will be using a credit card just like you would on the visit, you would just be restricted to those retailers that support Apple Pay. Enjoy your holiday.

    Hi Nick

     

    Contact your debit and/or credit card issuer at least 24 hours before you travel.

     

    Advise them of where you are travelling to and the dates that you will be there.

     

    Your card otherwise risks being blocked by your issuer (as a security measure) when it is used abroad.

     

    Also, be aware that some accounts charge fees for foreign currency transactions.

    You're welcome. And, I echo what Jonathan UK states. Most of my US credit cards are that way. If all of a sudden there is a charge in a foreign country or there is a sudden large charge, they will deny the transaction. It is one of their anti-fraud safety measures. I didn't think to mention that earlier.
