How can I get my photo book to upload? After assembly it won't start.

I have a MAC OSX 10.7.5 and have ordered photo books in the past without any problems at all. This time it won't progress past the Assembly stage. I have tried many times and not being very technical, have not tried any troubleshooting steps. Can anyone help. This is a birthday present for my daughter next week!!

Hey janthwaites,

I understand that you are having some issues with your ability to order a photo book currently. I have an article with some suggestions on resolving this issue, and it can be found here:

iPhoto: Difficulty submitting a book, card, or calendar order - Apple Support

You may also want to try previewing your photo book to make sure it looks correct and there are no conflicts before attempting to order. Use the information in the following link to accomplish this:

Preview a print project in Photos, iPhoto, or Aperture to avoid issues - Apple Support

If you are still experiencing issues, try force quitting iPhoto, then boot your computer into Safe Mode using the steps in the following article, then attempt to order the photo book:

Thank you so much for your reply...I spent the best part of 2 days trying to solve this issue plus an hour or two with a senior advisor for apple. Finally it was suggested that my operating system might need to be upgraded...I was on Lion (tut, tut) and I upgraded to Yosemite. The book downloaded easily after that. It is a shame it took so long to recognise this might be the issue. It would be great if a little window would pop up during a failed download and say 'upgrade of system recommended' or something like that. Never mind, at least there was a happy ending. Hope this is helpful to someone out there who has also neglected to upgrade their system for so long.
