Can I upgrade the memory for this to 16GB? Wanting to run FCX, as well as After Effects, etc on it.

I understand that you'd like to add RAM to your Mac mini. If your Mac Mini is a Late 2012 model or earlier, then additional memory can be installed. The Mac mini (Late 2014) does not have user-installable RAM. The article linked below provides further information and details how to add RAM should you have a Mac mini with user-installable RAM.
