Unable to Airdrop between MBP & iPhone 6

Hi,

I'm encountering difficulty to Airdrop between my MBP (13' late 2011) and iPhone 6. My MBP is running Yosemite (10.10.5) and iPhone on iOS 8.4.1. My MBP can't even detect/pair with my iPhone. I had put my iPhone 6 to be discoverable to everyone yet its not detect by my MBP, and vice versa.

Wonder if its the Bluetooth antenna of my MBP as I understand the specs/version in my MBP does not support Handsoff and Continuity (anyway to get around besides changing the antenna that will cost a bomb).

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

nick

Your MacBook Pro is too old to use AirDrop with iOS devices; it’s limited to using it with other Macs.
