Exe file in External Hard Drive. Can I delete?

Hi,

Just want to know if it is possible to delete an .exe file from my external hard drive which I would then connect to my Mac Mini (late 2014, running OS X 10.0.4). BTW, this .exe file is a trojan virus that I got from my previous Windows machine so I wanted it clean since I would be attaching it to my Mac often.

Is there a way to delete it using an application (anti virus)? I have read some threads in the community providing manual steps to do this, helpful though honestly doing it manually is not my preference. 😝

A Windows program cannot run on a Mac.

Just move it to the trash and delete it.
