Screen goes flickering and freezes my new Macbook Air(2015) while playing some youtube videos in fullscreen mode in safari 8. This issue was found with youtube HTML5 player. Flickering does not occur when there in an overlay of ad or player settings above the player and flickering stops on cursor movement.
Does anyone have any idea on solving this issue.

you are not alone. My MacBook Air has been doing the same thing for about a week now. I'm testing the player with the Chrome browser to see if the problem persists. So far, this flickering has not followed to Chrome.
Its working fine in chrome for me also. The issue didn't reproduce when i switched to flash player in youtube. Issue exists only for youtube html5 player in safari.
