Has the iPad suffered any trauma recently? Drops, spills etc... If we can rule out physical damage, then we can move on to restoring the software etc
Is Airplane mode on by any chance?
Are other wifi devices able to connect?
Is your iPad the only one that cannot do that?
Do you see the network at all, the SSID?
The more data you provide the better

Agreed! We can help you faster and easier with lots of info
I have the same issue and, to answer the questions ...
1) I can connect to some wifi networks with my ipad
2) I cannot see some wifi networks that my Windows-based laptop can see and connect to ... that is, they don't even appear on the 'available networks' list on the ipad.
And I have NOT reset the iPad.
This is a well known issue heavily discussed already on the thread below. See my many posts there and those of others.
Thanks!!! Didn't realize it was such a pervasive problem. I'll go read the posts.
No trauma to tre iPad and all otter devises in tre house connects fine. Since the last software update it got slower and slower and suddenly lost the connectio, it has then returned a few times, but at a very slow speed and only for a few minutes at a time
It is not in airplane mode
i don't see any network
my ipad is the only one with the problem
Hi
Turn off Router for 30 seconds.
Go to settings on ipad Reset network settings.
After Reset enter your router wireless key.

To S.Bangstad (but also to Welshwind),
I know you mentioned on your first post that you "reset" but I am not sure what you meant by that. Try resenting the Network as per below and see if it helps, it has for a lot of people. Please follow all steps as listed.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Then do a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it comes up. You will not lose anything. Then go back in to Settings > Wi-Fi > and rejoin your network again.

Tried this and it did not work. We had a new router put in at a new place and since then, my ipad and MacBook cannot connect but Comcast was able to get my HP connected. Go figure.
