Question

wmv files moved to external hard drive (Mac Formatted)

Is it possible to move wmv files to my external hard drive? The Hard Drive is formatted for Mac Use. Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

You can move or copy any files from your User folder (not the system folder) onto any external drive. That would be a backup of those files. If you then delete those files on your working hard drive, then they would be the only copy you have.

You're welcome - remember, if you delete them on your hard drive, the external will have the only copy you have - I'd consider making a backup of those as all hard drives will fail sooner or later.
