What have you tried?
Depending on how you're building your credit file, you can just paste your graphic file into the credit file.
If you've using FCPX's text editor, though, it's just a text editor. You can't paste graphics into it directly.
You can build a custom project that is several thousand pixels tall and compose your credits and graphics as a giant still image. Export/share the still image with alpha channel and import it into your main project. Then animate the vertical crawling of this very tall still image file.
You can do this stuff in Motion quite easily after you learn the basics.
I'm using FCPX 10.2.1 > Title > Credits > Scrolling
This thread is now about three weeks old so mybe you either solved your problem or it's no longer a problem.
So, you're using the Credits/Scrolling generator.
What are you willing to try next? Motion?
I may be overlooking something but assuming your graphic has transparency, import it and then edit it as a connected clip stacked above the credits clip. Adjust position and scale as required, You can also do this in Compressor with the Watermark effect.
