I'm getting some very strange interactions here, after posting a question that the system will not let me ask. See screenshots. Also: our IOS devices won't connect to wifi. Is this related to IOS 9 update in the works?

That happens a bit with the new board. I clear it by copying my text from the edit field, closing the open Apple Community windows, and going back to where I want to post. Maybe the same works for Support.
Are you referring to the actual Apple support online or the forums here (which your screenshots appear to be about)? If it's the forums here, blame it on the multiple glitches which can happen here. You can also get logged out without knowing. Unless there is an actual problem with the servers (which does happen occasionally as well), logging out and back in will usually take care of any glitches.
