I've only had my Macbook Air for 1 week and I just googled something, only to find a page pop up saying I've been hacked by Iranian hackers and that my security is low! Is this for real or just a scam?! I have changed all my passwords including for my online banking and cancelled my card. If this happens again can I just ignore them? How can it be prevented? Any tips and advice would be appreciated! : )

If you have not responded to the pop up you are safe. Standard procedure is to force quit Safari, and re-launch it holding the SHIFT key.
