Is anyone having trouble with Mac Mail after Yosemite 10.10.5 update?

Well, ever since this Yosemite 10.10.5 update, my Mac Mail app just freezes. I deleted the indexes in the library and then re-downloaded all of my accounts/email to my Macbook Air, and it started working again - for a day. Got up this morning, logged in and back to the freeze. Deleted all the indexes again, and it's now loading again. This is not my idea of a properly working mailbox. Anyone else having this problem? What is the solution? Thinking about restoring to the old version.

Unfortunately that just blew it up again. I had it semi-working, though it seems to download much more slowly than it did before. I had to delete and re-add all my accounts, which I am now doing again since downloading the update you gave me. What's the difference between the combo update and the original 10.10.5 update I did?

Thank you for trying. I never had this many problems with MAC/MAC software before and I always have the latest gadgets.... hate to see something good go bad. Hope you guys figure out these quirks.
