Podcast App crashes and won't load new podcasts.

I'm having problems with my podcast app.

1. I won't download new podcasts.
2. It freezes when I go back forth between home screen and podcast. If I press pause, go to home screen and back to podcast screen, a blank white screen shows up. It then crashes and goes back to home screen. If I press on the app again, it goes to the podcast now playing but 5 minutes earlier since I last played.

Please help.
