iMessage lag with 8.4.1 update

i've recently updated my phone to the 8.4.1. after the update my phone was working fine. A day later I noticed while texting, my phone was lagging. As in when I would type, it would take more than a few seconds for my phone to type what I was typing. Then I started to notice that my phone wasn't responding anywhere on the screen. I closed all my opened apps. Restarted my phone. Lag was still there. Contacted apple support. They told me to reset my phone. So I did the whole erase and reset. Was working fine after that. Now the same problem is starting again. I don't want to keep resetting my phone every time my messages lag. Anyone else having this problem?
