iBooks commandeering audiobooks from iTunes in iOS 8.4.1

needed to update since my phones search function went total Alzheimer's and would no longer work after cold restarts. Is there a way to prevent audiobooks from being dragged into iBooks and go back to iTunes so ALL my audio doesn't have to be labeled "music" in order to keep it in one place?

iPhone 4S, iOS 8.4.1, Dual Xeon 2.4, 64 GB RAM

With iOS 8.4 and 8.4.1 audiobooks will go into an Audiobooks collection in the iBooks app - you can't change that. If you don't want them in iBooks you will either have to change them to music, or there are third-party audiobook apps which cope better than iBooks does e.g. SpeedUp Player Pro seems to work ok for me (that's the only one that I've tried, but there are probably others), it accesses the music and audiobooks that you've synced to the device, you don't have to copy them explicitly to the app.
