How do I make Microsoft Word the default program over Pages when I open outside documents?

Recently I purchased Microsoft Word for Mac and I love the program so much! In the past, I was using Pages. Here is my problem:

Everytime I get an email with a document attached, I click on it and it automatically opens in Pages (when most of the documents sent to me were actually made of Word as well). How do I make it so that it automatically opens word? Thanks!

One way that I know how to do this is to go to Finder and click on Documents. Highlight a document that is one of the ones that came as a Word document in your email and click on File>Get Info. About 2/3 of the way down you will see "Open With". If it is not showing Word, click on the dropdown arrow and see if Word is listed as an app you can select.

If you are able to select it, then right below that you will see a "Change All" button. If you click on that, then all documents that end in .docx or .doc should open with Word going forward, and all documents in your Finder that have that extension will open with Word.
