https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7104865 - getting sort column options to show in playlist displays, and https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7112367?answerId=28511357022#28511357022 and https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7166716?answerId=28708036022#28708036022

There should also be a Recently Added smart playlist unless you deleted it at some stage in the past.

Reverting is no simple task unless you have a complete computer backup you made just prior to updating (which a professional should) and are prepared to revert your system to that point. If you do not you can search the web for numerous sites which will provide 2-3 pages of instructions on reverting.

E.g., http://www.macworld.com/article/2839797/unhappy-with-itunes-12-heres-how-to-reve rt-to-itunes-11.html -- but omits re-importing the .xml which is important for re-creating the library

I was trying to copy recently added folder ( old format) into new but it doesn't show date and time bought ( doesn't show on top of my lits latest one bought... Calum

I would hazard to guess any release of iTunes is intended for use by the mass consumer, not a subset utilizing a configuration for their own specific use. You may be able to use it for other purposes but that is fortuitous, not a design feature. With the latest iTunes Apple strongly encouraged consumers to try out Apple Music which may not fit the wants of DJs (I say this because 20 minutes ago I was responding to another DJ's post). You may find disabling Apple Music and iCloud features, and investigating and adjusting to new tweaks in the iTunes interface that accompany every update to iTunes since version 1, are sufficient to make the new version functional for you. Alternatively you can try downgrading to iTunes 11 using instructions you will find easily with an online search (and I will let you do the small amount of labor involved in a web search). Realize, however, unless you are willing to be in a time bubble the way I am with my 13 year old computer and no i-gadgets and no iTunes account that ultimately you will be forced to run a newer iTunes version at some stage.
