8.4.1 apple music bug

i had EXACTLY the same problem. Switching the phone off for a hard re-boot (not restore) would get things going again but only for a few minutes then the issue returned. The communities are full of reports of the same problem with nothing coming from Apple. I was ready to give up.

About an hour ago (10:30 hrs BST) everything just started working again. I didn't to anything. I assume Apple have been quietly working on a fix in the background. I hope this fix lasts. And I hope you are enjoying the same fix.

Got the same issue! There was many topics with the same problem for last three days. It's no good but only update to 9 beta can fix it.

Same problems bro. iPhone 5s running on iOS 8.4.1.

After getting the Music app freezing try opening iBooks app as well. You'll be surprised. It won't open either 🙂

The bug also freezes the Apple Music and iTunes & App Store settings menus exactly as stated in other posts here.

I tried playing with iOS 9 public beta 3 but downgraded back to 8.4.1 as it drained my battery nearly within 4 hours of semi-active use.

First rule of iOS 9 beta...do not talk about iOS 9 beta. Second rule of iOS 9 beta...do not talk about iOS 9 beta.

So does the issue come back after downgrade?

When this happens, I'd be curious if you see the same symptom that I do ... occasionally when a song changes, the artwork and song title does not, and that's when it freezes. The song will continue to play with the wrong title and artwork, but then freeze at the end. If I kill the Music app and re-start it then it will be OK for awhile, but eventually return. It seems to happen every 100+ songs, so I get in the habit each day of killing the app at the end of the day and that seems to help.

This problem has happened before to me in prior versions, and most recently on 8.4.1 I've restored from scratch with no backup (that was fun) and the problem persists and I see no pattern on what songs it hangs up on (e.g. .mp3 vs. AAC, nor any particular album). It's almost as if the iPhone (6+ in my case) gets part of its memory corrupted and needs the app to be killed to clear it out.

Yes. It did. I turned Apple Music app off completely, however iBooks app and iTunes & App Store menu in settings continue freezing anyway.

I went back to iOS 9 beta 3 yesterday and now testing Music app glitches there. So far so good. Everything is working stable. Freezes are gone.

But again struggling with battery levels on iOS 9. No surprise though.

I have this problem too! Also it seems, I cannot install any other app or even update. (I missed my music so I was trying switch back to Spotify) do you guys have this problem too?

Having the same problem here since the update. Music won't download for availability offline and Radio just hangs on loading.

If this is what we can expect for Apple Music at 9.99 a month, you can count me out.
