how do i get the most out my mac mini quad core

Hi Guys,

I'm using logic pro 10 to make music and was wondering if there are any hints or tips to get the best out my CPU qaud core. i7.

in logic it looks as tho I'm only using one of the processors. Im no t very clued up on this sort of thing but was hoping i could improve the macs efficiency.

There are many applications by their nature which can only actively be single threaded,

i.e. only one active process running at a time. An application which is designed to

be multi-threaded can have one thread running in one core and another thread running

in another core. Therefore, an application must be designed in such a way as to use

multiple active threads. Some simply cannot.


Multi-core processors are primarily intended to improve multitasking of several simultaneous

applications with a side benefit of improving performance of multithreaded applications.
