What does (MFMailComposeErrorDomain error1.) mean?

Attempting to send email from remote location. This has worked before. We get a message

The operation couldn't be completed.

(MFMailComposeErrorDomain error 1.)


The email would not send last night when we got to a WI Fi. But it did this morning.

From your post I understand you're getting the error "MFMailComposeErrorDomain error 1" when trying to send email from the Mail app on your iPad. To help resolve this issue I first suggest that you restart the iPad when the Mail app is open. If the issue persists after that, I suggest forcing the iPad to restart when the Mail app is open.


How to restart

  1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.


How to force restart

To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
