Q: Erratic cursor with 2009 MacBook Pro

I have a 2009 MacBook Pro. My cursor is completely erratic, despite the fact that I have several times repaired authorizations with the disk utility. Can anyone help please ?

It is not unusual for the battery in an older MBP, which resides under the trackpad, to expand and interfere with the operation. Open the MBP and inspect the battery.
