Connection to car audio fails after iOS 8.4.1 update

iPhone 6 Plus 64GB had been working fine for 3 years on my Suzuki Swift Sports (2012) audio system. The audio system supports iPod playback via USB cable. However after yesterday iOS update to 8.4.1, the connection can never succeed now. Error message pop-up on the audio system screen. Is it the new iOS problem or mine?

Howdy andersw14,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

I see from your post that you're trying to get your iPhone to interface with the stereo system in your car. For assistance with this issue please follow the steps in the link below.

If you're using USB Playback

  1. Restart your iOS device and your car.
  2. Connect your iOS device to a different stereo USB port (if you have one).
  3. Try a different USB cable.
  4. Update your iOS device.
  5. Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.
  6. Try playing audio from a different app. If you can't play audio from a specific third-party app, contact the app developer for help. If you can't play audio from an Apple app, Contact Apple Support.
