Iphone v Messages app block

If I have blocked someone through my iphone messages, will they still be blocked on the Messages app on my laptop? I know when Messages was first released, there was some glitch that still allowed messages from blocked users to go through. As of now, this person appears on my laptop Messages blocked list but I was curious as to whether that may still happen.

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

HI,

The iOS version of Messages has had Blocking a lot longer than the Mac version.

IF your Contacts apps are synced then the Block will be synced. (otherwise it will not)
